About me

Hello! My name is Tomasz Wąsiński. I’m a software developer from Poland with over 6 years of professional experience. I specialize as a backend engineer, systems architect and technical leader.

The first language which I reached the production environment with, was Python, and now I’m in love with it, although it’s not always easy. Recently I started also programming with Elixir, due to it’s distributed nature.

I’m an enthusiast of DDD & clean architecture, and that’s how I prefer to build systems from the ground up.

I have a sharp analytical mind, feeling of responsibility, and the ability to find, foresee, and solve problems. During my career I had the pleasure of leading teams and teaching others, in this field, I am characterized by impartiality and keeping the team in harmony, yet bearing on the conflicts.

On my blog, I share my thoughts and solutions to the problems I have encountered as a developer, architect, and also a leader. I describe a few of my side projects, and share some opinions about books too.

In my free time, apart from programming, I deepen my knowledge of positive & cognitive psychology or spend my time working out, cycling, or trekking in the mountains.
